Just when it seemed like we were beginning to notice Woo Do Hwan in his recent string of kDrama hits, he leaves us for two years to join the military.
Do you hear that? That, my friends, is the sound of the ocean of tears ready to flood the world when this realization hits the kDrama fans.
According to his agency, he’ll start next month on July 6th – 6 days before his birthday, but for safety reasons, they’re keeping the location and time a “military secret”. (I couldn’t resist).
Woo Do Hwan has appeared in many popular kDramas including “Tempted“, “Mad Dog”, “Save Me“, the recent hit with Lee Min Ho “The King: Eternal Monarch“, as well as the awesomely scary Ji Shin in the movie “The Divine Fury“.
Good looks aside, he’s an awesome actor, playing 2 versions of of look-alike characters in The King: Eternal Monarch’s Jo Eun-Seob and Jo Young, who had polar opposite personalities and accents. He was so good at it, you saw 2 people, not 1 person playing 2 characters.
Woo Do Hwan will certainly be missed for those 2 years, so for those of you who can’t stand the 2 year wait….start watching ALL his dramas and movies ‘till he gets back.
